ABSTRACT GEOMETRY

Assignment:

Using your understanding of modifiers and basic animation create an abstract geometric experience.

- Use modifiers such as array and boolean to create repetitive, procedural generated objects within your scene

- Experiment with several additional modifiers to create further interesting and unique geometric experiences.  (Virtually all Blender modifiers have tutorials you can search up, simply by typing in, "Blender [modifier name] modifier tutorial"

- Experiment with modifier animations as well, changing properties and settings over time

- Be sure to apply materials to your work and consider applying material animations as well.

Once finished, you should render your Abstract Geometries as both a still image at 1920x1080 and a should video-based file.

For this assignment, I decided to play with creating my own abstract shape, so I started by drawing a really long curve in edit mode then adjusted it until I liked the flow of the object. After that, I then added an array modifier to duplicate the object to create a 5x5 row and animated the beveling as time went on. I wanted to do more with sizing and positioning animation, but unfortunately, this ended up making things run even more slowly (it was already very slow with what I have) which is not something I hadn't accounted for. I struggled with my lighting when rendering because I wanted to replicate the lighting in the material view. I tried following a few YT tutorials to use nodes and select the premade scenes Blender has from my files, but I only have the application and not the folders that he had. I was able to render the image with the materials, but the video is not rendered in this way.
