For mentor feedback, I met with Sasha DeKonick who is my main mentor. I included this a tiny bit in my week 9 progress, but here are my full notes from her:

Overalls

• Heavy weight fusible interfacing or felt on back side for getting buttons to stay

Puffer Coat

• Put stitch setting on a 4

• Walking foot (doesn’t stick on top of the fabric)

• Lower the presser foot to guide it on my own

• Lower the speed setting

• Use a thick bias tape

• Bias tape for zipper

• Don’t have to worry about layers of vinyl being too thick

• Heavy duty sewing thread

The display

• Vistaprint for placard

• Statistics on floor so it’s more obvious

• Connect the three with a “carpet” of fabric with the text overlayed on top
