Project Name: Sustain the Rave

Elevator Pitch: Sustain the Rave will combat the environmental damage of music festivals through the creation of sustainable festival clothing and education through augmented reality experiences.

 

Iteration 1: I decided to do one outfit instead of three so I can make sure each element of the outfit is as good as it can be. I want the elements to be gender-neutral because this is something I've been thinking about.  During week 1, I will have all designs finalized, and I will gather or make all materials I need for each element. I will also decide which three statistics I want to represent and make sketches to show how they will look through the AR. The first element of this outfit will be all of my accessories, and I will use organic materials (bioplastics) to create them. I will have these and the Blender file to complement that complete and imported into A-Frame. Current idea for AR: For my accessories, I want the markers to be on the earrings or necklace and have plants growing from them.

Iteration 2: My second element is going to be a puffer jacket. This is going to be made from plastics that can't be recycled. I will have the Blender file complete. Current idea for AR: Marker is on the back of the jacket, and plastic water bottles will come from all directions towards it. This will also be imported into A-Frame.

Iteration 3: The last piece is going to be a jumpsuit made from secondhand and deadstock fabrics. I will have this and the Blender file complete and imported into A-Frame. Current idea for AR: For the jumpsuit, I want to represent the music industry in some way and potentially bring my user into a festival or concert. This one is the one I am least sure about.

Iteration 4: I will have tested each marker numerous times to ensure that they work. I will also complete graphics and have them posted on my Instagram account. I will have a QR code or sign to send users that way.
