SCRIPT

Hey there! My name is Hannah and over quarantine, I started my own sticker business, whoishan. Today, I’ll be sharing everything I did to get my business up and running.

Because I knew I wanted to start a sticker business, I watched countless YouTube videos and read articles from people who had been where I am. Research is always step one.

Step two was making a well-thought-out budget and list of materials. My list consisted of a drawing tablet, a drawing program, printer, ink, sticker paper, a cutting machine, materials for packaging, a domain name, and a website to sell it all on!

What I didn’t realize was how much I needed to invest in myself to get started.  I constantly reminded myself why I wanted to do this: to share my art with the world in an affordable and accessible way.

Next, I chose a name. I went with “whoishan” because I’m still figuring out who I am. I chose my brand’s colors, designed my logo, and got to work designing products which was my favorite part.

Once I had my stickers designed, it was time to print, cut, and take product shots to upload to my website.

After that, I created an Instagram account and promoted the heck out of my business on social media. Within three months, I was able to turn a profit which is crazy. Don’t get discouraged because there’s nothing like the feeling of making your first sale!
