UX TESTING ROUND 1

1. Usability Interviews

Starting Deliverables: Technical choices, project interaction

Stakeholder: Target Audience (someone who attends festivals and concerts, fashion is important to them)

Audience demographics: 21 y/o female and 21 y/o male

For this test, I will ask my target audience users to interact with my project by testing out the AR aspect of my project. I placed the QR code and marker in front of them and saw what they did with it without giving them any direction. Both users pulled out their phones and scanned the QR code. Once the page with the AR popped up, they allowed camera access, then both aimed their cameras at the marker since it was the other object I placed in front of them.

Observations/Questions:

1. How easy was it for them to use the QR code and marker without direction (are directions needed?)

2. Does the size of the QR code matter?

3. Does the size of the marker matter?

4. What materials make the most sense for the QR code and marker?

5. Any other thoughts on how the process could be improved or changed?

2. Aesthetics/Design Test

Starting Deliverables: Design mockup, materials

Stakeholder: Target Audience (someone who attends festivals and concerts, fashion is important to them)

Audience demographics: 21 y/o female and 21 y/o male

I made a sample pouch of my puffer coat and will ask my users to give opinions and advice on its aesthetics and wearability of it. I will also ask for feedback on my design sketch.

Observations/Questions:

1. Overall thoughts on the outside material choice (plastic vinyl)?

2. Any thoughts on how it could be improved aesthetically (looking at the sketch I made)?

3. What improvements or changes would be needed for you to wear this item of clothing (with the understanding that materials can't change)?
