INDIVIDUAL LIVESTREAM WEEK 2

Assignment:

Script,  prepare, and schedule for this week's live stream production.  Once prepared, go live at your scheduled time and conduct your stream.  Streaming sessions should likely be 30 minutes on the sorter end and up to 2 hours or more on the longer end.  Experiment and take note of what is working well and what is not.

My second stream was on Saturday, February 20th at 7 pm MST! I took a few Instagram polls beforehand asking people what day and time they would most likely watch at as well as what platform they would rather watch at. The majority of people said 7 pm, Thurs-Sat on YoutTube was best, so that's what I did! I definitely prefer YouTube to Twitch because I can add a thumbnail to the stream and there's a direct link to it I can add in my Instagram bio for quick access.

During my stream, I designed a boba sticker in Procreate, printed it out, and then showed how my Cricut machine works to cut it. I tried something new and used an app called AirSever to connect my iPad to my computer through screen mirroring in order to show everyone what I'm doing. This worked much better than I thought it would and just used display capture to capture my computer screen with the AirServer window open!

This time, I didn't have any echoing issues because I used my AirPods as a mic, but the quality wasn't great since I was moving around a lot. My friend has a mic that I can borrow, so I will be testing it out with that to see how well it works. I don't want to invest in a really good mic because then it will pick up my computer's fan too and not just my voice. This isn't a pressing issue, but I would like for it to be resolved before my next stream.

I set up multiple scenes this time because I invested in a webcam so I could more easily show my printing and cutting setup. This went very smoothly and I'm happy with the transitions.
